Rescue Me ID: 17-06-05-00374Cathy (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello! My name is Cathy, and I am a new arrival at the Safe Place for Pets Welcome Center. I am about 10 years old and a spayed female Maine Coon/tabby mix. Even though I recently lost my loving mom, I am adapting very well to my new 'home away from home.' In fact, I think I am living up to my Maine Coon genes! Besides being adaptable, we Maine Coon types are very social, loving, and curious. It took me less than a day to want to be out and about, exploring my new surroundings and meeting the other kitty guests'|and I have already made friends with several of them! I lived with 4 other cats in my home and got along well with them, too. I ... (Read More)have never met a dog, though, so I don't know if I would do well with one, although given how easygoing I am, I just might with the right one! My favorite things are lying in the sunshine, playing with orange pipe cleaner circles, snuggling with my people, and BEING BRUSHED for as long as your arm and hand hold out! I look forward to meeting you soon! To set up an 'It's Just Treats' get-together to see if we might be a purrfect match, contact Safe Place for Pets on the web (safeplacepets.org) or by phone (719-359-0201). (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-15-00590Kingston (male)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

Kingston is a very proud cat with some quirks. He'll stretch out on his back, with his feet in the air and total belly exposure, but like any true King gets a little embarrassed unless sleeping soundly that he was found relaxing in such pleasure. He is a mix breed, but you can definitely see his Linx Point Mix beauty, but he is not high maintenance nor does he shed any more than the average cat. In fact, he mainly just looks, like royalty, but otherwise, he is a typical cat wanting a forever home and wanting to be loved. It will take the right family who wants to give Kingston a second chance at life and let him learn to relax and most ... (Read More)importantly bond as he was thrown out like trash and it might take a bit longer to adjust. He's a hearty eater and enjoys playing. He gets along with other cats and a playful partner would be good for his calm demeanor. Or there is always the option of making him the docile King of the Castle. He's an all around wonderful cat in need of a great home. Please consider opening your home and your heart for Kingston. He is estimated to be about 2 years old and is a Linx Maine Coon/Linx Point Siamese mix. As you can see you might need to share the bathroom sink, but I bet he's less messy than other family members! Rescue Me ID: 17-03-19-00302Roxy (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Roxy is beautiful, sweet and a little on the silly side. She enjoys attention and is playful. She too is part of the junkyard cats. One would never know she lived in a mess of junk with such beautiful hair that now shines so nicely. In addition to her beauty, she is Ms. Personality. You'll be putty in her paw as soon as you get your first Roxy kisses or she gives you her first blink of approval. She is one cat that has gotten used to indoor living real quick and we want to make sure she stays indoor being pampered as she deserves. She would do great with another cat, in particular with her bestie and colony-mate, Tabitha. If you already have ... (Read More)one cat, what're three cats if you're wanting two? Adoption Fee $85 or there's an adoption special for Tabitha and Roxy - adopt both for $100. We want to find them best homes possibles, so we will adopt separately but prefer to keep them together.
