Maine Coon    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed

URGENT - ADOPT OR FOSTER NEEDED! Kiara is a very sweet 8 year old female Maine Coon mix Calico. She is very healthy and has been well cared for. I am not sure about all the details that got these cats to this point - but from what I understand, an elderly woman left her home with a lot of cats. I am not sure if she passed or if she had to go into a home... Either way, they were left behind. Many of the cats were re-homed... but, unfortunately, there are still 13 that have not yet been able to be placed - mainly due to time and finding the RIGHT home. They are all very sweet kitties - but we are running out of time to place them. ... (Read More)Meanwhile, a very kind and generous woman took the remaining 13 cats into her 2 bedroom condo in hopes of being able to place them over time. Unfortunately, her life's circumstances have changed unexpectedly and she has to move very quickly. Her landlord needs to begin to show her place. She has been putting the landlord off as long as she can, but it's now down to the wire. WE ONLY HAVE UNTIL THIS WEDNESDAY and then she will have no choice but to bring them to a shelter. Sadly, the only shelters that will take the cats are all KILL SHELTERS! As I said, they are all beautiful, sweet kitties and can be placed in the right homes if we have a little more time. WE ARE LOOKING FOR TEMPORARY AND OF COURSE, PERMANENT SITUATIONS. All ideas are welcomed. Anything safe and appropriate at the moment will be fine. (Less)

I am not able to take him in. He is a very friendly, affectionate, and loving cat that needs a safe home. If you are interested in finding out more about him, please contact me. Rescue Me ID: 16-05-11-00278Lucy (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations, Fearful/Anxious

I rescued her mother from a Red Lobster parking lot. And she gave birth to a litter of 6! I've had them ever since. Lucy is 8 years old. The only reason why I am trying to find her a home is because I have a 9 month old son now and 9 other cats. I am moving in about a month and can't take all of my cats with me. I am trying to find them the best possible home for as many as I can. I love them so much and sacrificed so much for them. It's only fair that I try my best to do what is best for them. She is friendly and likes to talk to you, at times. She is so sweet and just wants to be by your side. She will want her 'lovin's' when you go to bed ... (Read More)and likes to lay down with you. She is very submissive to other cats and has anxiety because of them. I would like to find her a home by herself and maybe a dog. She loves my pitbull. I think it would be ideal that she is the only cat because of her anxiety to them and would like her to have a dog friend. She has all of her teeth removed except her canine teeth because she had a severe gum disease. She gets gingivitis at times and will need more than yearly visits to the vet to monitor this. Other than that she has no other health problems. She doesn't like to be brushed and he fur just needs to be maintained for tangles. I will wave the adoption fee if you take her to the vet for a check up and get her flea prevention. I would require an adoption application and contract. Also, 2 home visits in the first 6 months. She is very dear and special to me and breaks my heart that I have to do this. I just want what is best for her. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-23-00544Roscoe/Rocky (male)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations, Aggressive

Roscoe - aka Rocsoe or Rocky by my 5 yo granddaughter - is a strange guy. Sometimes aggressive for no reason towards people and has attacked unprovoked. At least in our eyes. I'm sure the poor guy has a reason that initiated in his past somewhere. He will hiss at our other cats but rarely, and usually he's submissive to them, rolling over on his back when they come around. He stays outside now because he prefers it out there, but does have enough manners to stay in on cold and/or rainy nights. He eats dry food but I think he may have some kind of misalignment going on because when he eats, he shakes his head and food flies out of his mouth ... (Read More)everywhere. He shoves his mouth wide open down into the bowl and looks like a front end loader digging up the ground. I've been looking for that special home for Roscoe since we got him. He's not as violent as he was when he first came, but I think that's because we leave him alone and leave him outside. If he wants love, we let him come to us so we don't disrupt his mood. He's a big guy, probably weighs in at about 12 pounds. He was quite a bit heavier when he came to us, but he's lost weight being outside. He's definitely not unhealthy tho! He is due for shots but I have all of his papers so you'll know what he needs. I hope there is a perfect parent out there for Roscoe. He deserves to have somebody who can take the time to teach him more manners and then possibly become an inside cat again. But we can't bring him inside much anymore because now we have a new baby. He tried jumping into the bassinet the other day and I thought my daughter was going to shoot him. Well, not actually but you know what I mean. We definitely can't have him in the house anymore. He's a good boy and he's potty-trained. He'll eat pretty much anything and when he purrs, he PURRS! The size of his motor matches his physical size for sure. :) So if you want to love Roscoe, please contact me. Any rehoming fee will go to the Rescue Me Organization so they can continue the selfless work that they do. Thank you!Oh, P.S. Not really sure about the Maine Coon mixture but a couple of people have mentioned it so thought I would as well. (Less)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Hello, my name is Stanley and I'm 13 years old and very healthy and youthful. I am a main coon mix with frosted toes and a white chest. I am looking for my forever home where I can be the only cat. I will probably be best matched with an experienced cat owner; one who knows and is familiar with cats and their quirks. I am very friendly toward all people, but energetic dogs, young children, and other cats make me feel insecure and I hide. I'm great with older kids that are calm around me and will happily head-butt hands and legs as I walk by. I'm a mellow, easy-going kitty and I need a home that's the same way. I'm looking for lots of love ... (Read More)and attention because I follow my owner around and meow for food or to sit on her lap and be petted-(my favorite things). I am well-trained and enjoy a large/jumbo covered litter box or even a plastic storage bin with a hole cut in the side because I'm a very long kitty and enjoy the space. I love, love, love to cuddle! My favorite thing is to sit on laps and be petted. If I find you lying on the couch, I will snuggle up with you and rub against everything. I am an introvert and mainly prefer my owner, but I warm-up to other people shortly after meeting them. Sudden movements can make me nervous at first, but I adjust quickly. Because I'm such an anxious kitty, I have a sensitive stomach and any changes in my environment cause me stress. Like many kitties my age, when I'm over-stressed I may have toilet problems. I need a clean litter box daily to every-other day, or I will find a cleaner bathroom. I also need a lot of attention and reassurance when things in my environment change and I love my canned food much more than my dry food. My favorite things to do are sitting on laps while being petted, play with peacock feathers, nap in the sun, eat grass, and watch birds outside or on the tv. I nap during the day, but mornings and evenings I'm pretty active and want attention. I'm an indoor cat, but sometime my owner lets me munch on grass close to the house or grows grass for my digestion and hairballs. I'm easily frightened when outside and run up trees if I hear a loud noise. Sometimes I will even play fetch for you with my toys, but I mainly love string. Although, sometimes I eat the string, so you have to watch me. Thank you for reading about me, and let me know if my forever home is with you! If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my owner. Please only contact if you're familiar with male cats, high anxiety cats with sensitive stomachs, and will contact the current owner if there are any problems or if Stan is not a good fit for your home.
