Rescue Me ID: 17-12-10-00335Nala, Alfie, (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Kitten

Compatibility: Not Good with Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Nala, Alfie, Willow, and Alani. These cute kittens and sweet cat are waiting for their new homes. On the 7th they got their vaccinations and Alani also went to the groomer for a lion haircut. Rehoming fee of $75ea which includes: 30 day monthly flea preventive, deworming, and vaccinations. Approved homes ONLY! We will be screening and picky on where they go. They were previously feral and have learned to trust humans, now they're finally ready for their new families. These kittens are NOT for families with small children, because they have just gained human trust. Chasing, tail pulling, and improper holding could ruin that trust. ... (Read More)They need a family to further their confidence in people. -THESE ARE NOT CHRISTMAS GIFTS- These kittens/cat will not be rehomed as a gift because in most cases once the kitten or cat is 'old news' they're often rehomed, given away, or dumped. Which we DO NOT want. Personalities: Nala - She is very friendly and sweet. She is playful and loves cuddles. She's not shy and loves to be held like a baby in your arms. Alfie - He is shy and sweet. He's a bit of a lazy boy but loves to play too! He loves to give kisses (licks) any chance he can. Willow - She can be shy but is very playful! She is sweet and loving. Alani - She is shy and doesn't mind being held. Alani will need a quiet home where she can cuddle and relax. Alani will go home with a sweater because she has a lion haircut. If you're interested in any of these sweeties please email me. Vet references required. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-12-06-00206Olive (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Olive is a beautiful, and loving, senior, seven-pound, female four-paw-declawed Maine Coon-mix cat looking for a loving guardian. Olive is a gorgeous girl who is an easy companion. She prefers to be the one and only pet in your life. She loves snuggling in your bed, on your lap and in your arms. She gives gentle kisses and likes to climb up high and look out windows. She'll even bat a toy around! She would love to go to a loving home where she can be doted on and enjoyed. We are looking for a special cat-lover who has no other pets and knows how to give subcutaneous fluids, or is willing to learn because she is in the early stages of ... (Read More)kidney insufficiency. Found sitting in a cat carrier in a Wilmette alley, we don't know Olive's backstory. She was found during the heavy rains a couple months ago, and the carrier was filled with not only rain water but her urine. I can't even imagine the torment she went through. She was given a couple baths, full bloodwork, and a virus-test. Her kidney values are not great, so she is eating a dry prescription kidney diet and receiving daily subcutaneous fluids, which she tolerates beautifully. I can't seem to find a canned food she enjoys. She seems happy and healthy now, so she's not quite a hospice candidate, but she'll benefit from continued fluids and special food. She is perfect with her litter box and just loves to spend time with her people. Her adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets and includes a generous supply of fluids and prescription food. To meet and possibly adopt this special girl, please contact sheri@petraits.com She is currently living in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. (Less)

Poblano is an eight-week-old, two-pound, playful and friendly, male orange tabby kitten looking for a loving guardian along with his siblings and mom. We prefer to adopt out our kittens in pairs. Poblano has three orange tabby brothers Scotch, and Ancho and Hatch, as well as a brown tabby sister named Carolina. Momma Gio is a wonderfully socialized cat and her kittens are very playful, well-socialized and wonderful with dogs, cats and people. Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Gemma is a gentle, shy and sweet, four-year-old, green-eyed, female grey and white Maine Coon-mix cat looking for a loving guardian. Chubby Gemma gets along with all people, cats and dogs. She's an all-around a fabulous cat. She also has the most beautiful long white whiskers I've ever seen on a cat! Gemma would be fine as an only cat, or also fine when introduced properly to other cats and dogs. She likes to sleep in bed with her foster family. She was rescued from Chicago Animal Care & Control and was so sick that she currently has a chronic upper respiratory infection just like allergies. But, she doesn't let that get her down. She ... (Read More)just has runny eyes and nose from time to time. Gemma is otherwise healthy, has all her claws, is spayed, virus-tested, micro-chipped and up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines.
