Rescue Me ID: 16-11-13-00026George (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

George is a 1 1/2 year-old spayed female who would love to join your family! She is used to spending most of her time outdoors and loves to hunt, climb, and sprint. She spends some time indoors, but starts to get stir-crazy after about a day. Her long coat keeps her warm. While she is often very cuddly, there are times when she likes to keep her distance and will let you know she doesn't want to be pet by playfully biting. This is the reason she is listed as 'good with adults but not kids.' She has been around children for brief periods of time with no problem--she will let them pet her, then run away. But I'm not sure how she would do in a ... (Read More)household that has young children. George's vaccinations are up to date and she is microchipped. She is a wonderful cat: never sprays or marks, uses her litterbox, is good at the vet, is loving, and will let me clip her claws. She has no medical issues. We hate to give her up but will be moving soon and cannot take her with us. We hope you will invite George to stay with you! (Less)
