This is Sky and yes that is his paw behind his back that he is laying on. He is very flexible and sweet. My mom will add to the description later. Mom here. Skye is a blue and white tuxedo Maine Coon. He is 6 years old and will be 7 on April 20th. He walks funny - looks like his knees buckle, but he has been thoroughly checked out by numerous vets, including 2 orthopedic vets. They decided he just walks funny! He can run and jump just fine, although Maine coons don't generally jump a whole lot, anyway. He is very flexible and does indeed get into some funny positions. Loves to chase a laser light and strings. Greets you at the door, and ... (Read More)likes to be petted. Doesn't sit in laps, but will often sleep near you at night. Weighs about 17 pounds. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-21-00363Kit Kat (male)

Maine Coon    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations, Fearful/Anxious

Kit is a beautiful blue silver classic tabby with white pedigree Maine coon. He was not raised 'under foot', and so tends to be a bit shy. He can be very loving - loves to have his face rubbed and will sometimes let you pick him up and curl him into your lap. He loved it when we had foster kittens - they all thought he was their dad. He bossed a pit mix dog that we fostered, but that's the only dog he has been around. He tolerates them and might makes friends with one. Our situation is that my kids dad showed up at work drunk and lost his 6 figure income. We are now trying to make ends meet on my poverty level job. I have started a ... (Read More)new job that can lead to advancements, but that will take time. Currently living with my sister, but must make changes to budget to be able to buy a home of our own. We currently have 6 cats and are trying to get the population down to 3. Kit's brother, Skye, will be available also. I will post him separately when I can get a photo of him. Kit gets stressed out around children and then gets struvite crystals in his urine, requiring the low magnesium food. He currently eats Purina urinary tract formula that I can get at Wal-Mart. It works just fine for him. He weighs about 22 lbs. (Less)
