Rescue Me ID: 14-04-08-00421Rigel (male)

Maine Coon    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I adopted Rigel from the local shelter at the same time that I adopted a domestic short-haired kitten. He is a very shy cat and needed reassurance that he was not in anyone's way. He is now fine. His previous owner declawed all 4 paws. He knows his mouth is his only weapon. He can be a bit fierce with my smaller kitty when he runs out of patience. With a cat his age and more his size (he weighs 17.7 pounds), I think he'll be fine. Most of the time, the two cats sleep side-by-side and run around the house together. He is affectionate and follows me from room-to-room like a typical Maine Coon. I will not ship him to another home. ... (Read More)Looking for a local placements. (Photos soon.) (Less)

He's an indoor/outdoor cat, mostly stays indoors. He has been around other animals and children before. Enjoys communicating when he wants something.
