Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Fixed, Vaccinations Current

BFFs Audie and Lulu were found by their wonderful caregiver after they had been abandoned. Now, with some good meals in their bellies, veterinary check-ups, and lots of love and assurance that things will be OK, they are ready and waiting for their forever family. At just about one year old, Audie and Lulu are healthy and amazingly sweet, affectionate cats. They are clearly bonded and need to go to their new home as a team. Audie is a jumbo, economy-sized Maine Coon mix with soft, light brown fur, splashed with a little black and white. He is a bit shy when first settling into a new location, but adjusts quickly and wants to be friends. ... (Read More)Audie is ready to fine tune his lap-warming skills with his new, forever family. Sweet Lulu is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH) with gorgeous dilute tortie coloring. Already a certified lap-cat, she climbs right on up in her foster dad's lap and gives him little licks, thanking him for rescuing her. Lulu is so looking forward to giving her thank you kitty kisses to her new family. Audie is neutered and his front paws are declawed. Lulu has been spayed. Audie and Lulu are both up-to-date on their vaccinations and have tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Like a good boy and girl, they have excellent litter box manners. Audie and Lulu are located in Port Matilda, PA. If you are interested in adopting them, please contact their caregiver, Ms. Sumner at rumplestiltchen@gmail.com or call 814-321-6301 (leave a message if no answer). Audie's and Lulu's caregiver can help with transportation up to 200 miles. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-07-15-00275Kitty (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Kitty! Kitty was brought to a local shelter after her owner passed away, before coming to our rescue, so not much is known about her history. What we do know is that she is absolutely sweet. She loves to chirp at you and head butt your hand for more and more pets. She is currently fostered with school aged kids and loves them, just as much as she loves adult humans, but she can be overly playful so would be best with cat savvy children. She has briefly met other cats and although she is a bit tentative with them she is not aggressive or mean and should be fine with another friendly feline, with an appropriate introduction period. ... (Read More)Kitty is petite, and appears to be quite young (likely around 1 yr old). She is listed as a maine coon mix, and although she is much smaller than most maine coons, she does have a spectacular fluffy tail, which may mean she is a mix, or at least an honorary maine coon! Kitty is spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccinated and up-to-date on her vaccines. She is felv/fiv negative. (Less)

I need to find a loving home for my 10yr old female Maine Coon ASAP due to allergies of my significant other. Right now I have to keep her in the basement and I am desperate to find her a home.I have had her since she was a kitten. I bought her from a breeder, but never had her registered because it wasn't important to me. I never dreamed I would have to give her up.She would do best in a home with no other pets because she gets anxious around them. She doesn't tolerate other cats but will tolerate a dog although never be friendly with it. She is loving and playful but isn't a lap cat. She was in foster care for a year while I was deployed ...     Beautiful Mainecoon cross kitty Sasha has come a long way in her time here at the shelter.. Sasha was brought to us as a pregnant mom after being found roaming the streets of Philly by one of our volunteers. She was very feral, but a fabulous mom to her litter of beautiful babies (all babies were adopted) Our two behaviorist have worked so hard to get her acclimated to humans and other kitties, and they've recently made some major breakthroughs! She now enjoys the company of other kitties, and likes a gentle touch from people, she even purrs!!
