Animal ID: Persephone Courtesy PostPersephone Courtesy Po (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Persephone (Seffie to her Besties) is a gorgeous, independent, active young gal just waiting for a special cat-experienced family to give her a home of her very own. Her caregiver calls Seffie her 'Spice Girl' for her high-spirited, and sometimes sassy, personality. Seffie has a beautiful, fluffy, tabby-patterned with white coat and big round, soulful eyes. At just 3 years old, Seffie is very people-oriented and high-energy. She loves any kind of entertaining toys and takes her playtime very seriously. Good sturdy wand toys would be a great way to give her the human interaction she desires, while protecting delicate human fingers. ... (Read More)Seffie would love a home with a safe closed-in outdoor space, such as a screened in porch or 'catio', outfitted with lots of places to sun herself, birdwatch, and keep tabs on the neighbors. Being the independent gal that she is, Seffie needs time to herself and will let her people know when she's had enough socializing for the moment. Seffie will fit in best with a cat-experienced family looking for a fun, active, and sometimes feisty feline to brighten up their home. Persephone has learned to get along with the other cats in her foster home. Her caregiver is working with her to determine if she would enjoy the company of a doggie companion. With her 'spicy' personality, a home without young children would be best. Persephone is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She is very ladylike, always using her litter box. Persephone is located in Damascus, VA. If you are interested in adopting her, please contact Ms. Stewart at stewartka32@gmail.com, or call 276-492-9322. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-12-10-00409Mia (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Mia is a 1 year old female kitten with a wonderful personality. She may have some Maine Coon mixed in, though we have no way of knowing for sure. She is a sweet girl and would be great in a home with other cats, a cat-friendly dog, and/or children. She loves being petted and is happy to just be around people. She has moderate energy and is ready to play when you are! She was rescued when she was about 6-8 weeks old and was very malnourished. She barely survived, but now she is healthy and loving life. She needs a home with people who are willing to keep her litter box very clean, as she will go outside of the box if it is not reasonably ... (Read More)clean. She has been returned once due to this issue, so we are looking for a forever home who will love and care for her regardless. She is a medium sized cat and is fully grown. She does need a lot of brushing/grooming, as she gets mats very easily. Mia is fully vetted (spayed, FIV/FeLV tested, UTD on vaccinations, and microchipped). If you think Mia may be the right fit for your home, please contact us. There will be an application, adoption fee, and contract. Please contact us with any questions or for more information! (Less)
