Rescue Me ID: 15-08-30-00020Squib (male)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Incontinent

Squib is a 2 year old CH (Cerebral Hyperplasia) kitty, aka a wobbly kitty. He wobbles and flops as he walks and runs but he was born that way. He gets around just fine and even jumps on the bed. Squib is very loyal to his foster mom and will take time trying to bond with another family. His foster mom is in her late 80's and will be moving to assisted living soon. She would love to find a home for him before she goes. He loves to sit in her lap and get petted. Because of his wobbly walk Squib needs a shorter litter box and a little patience with accidents he might make. He is a lovely little boy and really deserves a home of his very own.

Animal ID: Lilac Courtesy PostLilac Courtesy Post (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Like the beautiful flower that bears her name, Lilac is a gorgeous Maine Coon mix with a stunning tortie-colored coat, a glorious long tail, super-long ear tufts, and lots of floof between her toes! At almost 2 years old (on May 23, 2015), Lilac is an active, friendly girl who loves to play. She especially likes for someone to wave a wand toy around so that she can leap at it and chase it all around the room. Lilac is an inquisitive little lady, too, and will happily rummage through a lady's purse or a shopping bag to see if you brought her anything good. Lilac likes to be held and cuddled, and then, like any busy young girl, may ... (Read More)wiggle to get down after a few moments so she can go do other kitty things. She can become a bit shy for a little while in new situations, but once she is comfortable, she settles right in to playing and wanting LOTS of attention. Lilac will be a beautiful, fun, and loving addition to her new family! Lilac gets along with other cats that she has known for a while, but may be a little tentative at first with new feline friends, so introductions should be slow and easy. She would probably be quite content as the one and only kitty love of her family's life. Lilac is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations, and she has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She always uses her litter box like a lady. Lilac is located at the Humane Society of Fairfax County, in Fairfax, VA. If you are interested in adopting her, and live within an hour's drive of Fairfax, VA, please contact the humane society at pets@hsfc.org or call 703-385-7387. Animal ID: Nan & Nikki Courtesy PostNan & Nikki C/P (female)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Nan and Nikki are beautiful, petite Maine Coon mix sisters. Both girls have beautiful tabby-patterned coats, with Nikki being a slightly lighter brown in color. Born in April 2014, they are just a little over one year old and are ready for a human family to call their own. Nan and Nikki have been together since they were born and are highly bonded, so they must be adopted together. Nan and Nikki are a bit shy, but are getting more outgoing every day. Nan is the more outgoing of the two, quick to explore and rub on your shoes, especially thinking shoes with laces are great fun. Once she gets to know you a little bit, she happily ... (Read More)accepts pets and will give little head bumps. Nikki takes her cues from her sister, watching to see if Nan is comfortable with you. Once her sister gives the OK (some secret sister signal undetectable by humans), Nikki is all in, sniffing, circling, giving nose bumps, and then taking a little pat. Still coming out of their shells, Nan and Nikki would do best with a family that will be patient with them as they get comfortable with their new setting and get to know their humans. Both Nan and Nikki enjoy the company of their kitty roommates at the humane society so they should be fine with other cats in their new home. Of course, they are true BFFs and will be just as happy to be their new family's only kitties. Nan and Nikki are spayed and up-to-date on their vaccinations, and they have tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They always uses their litter box like little ladies. Nan and Nikki are located at the Humane Society of Fairfax County, in Fairfax, VA. Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Kitten

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Looking for a girl with striking good looks and enchanting eyes? A kitty who has beaten the odds? An Ingrid Bergman to your Humphrey Bogart? Well, here's looking at you, Kid! Baby Kid is a Maine Coon mix with a stunning black, medium-length fur coat and penetrating eyes that will see right into your heart. She is estimated to have been born in March 2015, making her almost 4 months old as of July. Kid was born to a feral mama and very nearly ended up being euthanized until her kind caregiver stepped in to save her. Super scared at first, Kid has come a long way with her foster family, who has been working diligently to help her ... (Read More)become socialized. Kid is now allowing some petting, playing with her toys, and even trying to get the attention of her foster family's handsome boy cat. He has other things to keep him occupied, though (running a catnip-tini bar in Casablanca), and when she gets adopted'|well, they'll always have Paris. Kid is still a bit skittish, which is to be expected, and will need a forever family that will spend time with her, love her, and be patient with her while she learns to trust. All indications are that she will be a playful, loyal, and loving member of her new family. Kid is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations, and she has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She is very lady-like and always uses her litter box. Kid is located in Stafford, VA. If you are interested in adopting her, please contact her caregiver, Ms. Moreau at Hmoreau2466@gmail.com or call 540-628-5308 after 7pm. Maine Coon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Vega appears to be Domestic Maine Coon mix. She is just over one year old. Vega appeared in my office parking lot last summer. She was about eight to ten weeks old at that time and very scared. It took a little while to earn her trust, but she us now an absolute dear. She is predominantly grey and white in color but she does have hints of creme on her face. Her markings are beautiful as are her big green eyes. She currently resides in my office with what I believe to be brothers and potential younger siblings. While Vega enjoys playing with toys, she prefers to receive love and give purrs. This big girl enjoys the scratcher toys and ... If possible I do like to receive vet references from potential adopters.
