Rescue Me ID: 18-03-10-00170Tuna (male)

Maine Coon    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Tuna (DOB 1/14/16) came to us as an euthanasia pull from the Humane Society. Tuna was listed as 'shy and fearful' but as you can see from his photos, he clearly is not. We have had several HS cats come to us for this reason and it has never turned out to be true - they are placed into new surroundings, in small metal cages and are given little time to settle in. Tuna could not be a nicer cat - he just needed time. Tuna has been residing in our main entry room with several other cats and has done well, but we do believe he would prefer to be an only cat. Tuna's longer hair will require daily maintenance to keep it free of tangles and ... (Read More)knots. He does well with nail trims. Likes attention and is fairly active. If you think you might be a match for Tuna, please stop in for a visit. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-03-03-00106Milo (male)

Maine Coon Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Milo is a beautiful 6-year-old male orange Maine Coon mix with personality typical of that breed: loves attention, 'trills,' plays with toy mice in his water bowl, enjoys belly rubs and being brushed. We rescued him as a stray kitten. He is territorial with our other cats and we are looking to re-home him where he can be someone's only cat. We do not have small children, and think he would be best in a home with adults only, or with older children. He has not been declawed, but has always been an indoor cat.
