     It's so nice to have this site as a resource when making the difficult choice to re-home a fur baby. We recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to find our cat a new home because he was not getting along with our older female cat. I was surprised at how many responses we got within such a short time. It's nice to know that so many people choose adoption when looking for a new pet. The process was simple and Rescue Me makes it easy to communicate with potential families via email. After several 'interviews' we were able to find our Punkin Boy the perfect home!

     I recently had to put up my cat, Kira, up for adoption due to health conditions. I was immediately contacted by an adopter and the experience was beyond all that I could hope for. My baby found a very loving and caring new owner who loves her so much and was already spoiled her by buying her all kinds of things before we'd even met. The meeting went so smoothly and I could not have imagined a better scenario for little Kira. I tried for a long time to rehome Kira myself, but was unsuccessful and I did not want to bring her to a shelter. I am so thankful I heard about Rescue Me from a friend.      I found two of the sweetest Maine Coon kittens ever. They have quickly adapted to a new home, litter box, and place to eat. They cry when they can't see me and the first night ended up in my bed cuddled close to me. My big Maine Coon at home seems either to be amazed at the kittens or is hovering like their protector. My Tabby is not so pleased. They will all a just in time. My new kittens love playing with the feathers and chasing each other. Thanks, Rescue Me!

     We went to Rescue Me seeking a Maine Coon to fill hole in our hearts from our past Coons, we came upon this boy... The most self assured cat ever. He slept all the way home for two hours, strutted around the house like he'd been there for years. Now, he is curled up in bed with my mom helping her over the recent loss of her dog.      Just want to say thank you for this site. I had a cat that needed a home that someone dropped at my house. I was feeding her and gave her as much shelter as I could, but with the weather getting colder and colder. I wanted her to have a nice warm home to live in. I couldn't keep her myself so I have been looking for a home for her for months. I had someone lined up to take her I thought, but that didn't work out. Yesterday I got on a site called Forgotten Cats and a very nice lady referred me to Rescue Me. I was so pleased that a lady emailed me almost as soon as I posted and said she wanted her. We made arrangements for her to come and those two I believe were meant for each other. They were friends right away and she went into the carrier and its like she said I'm ready to go. So glad I know she has a nice home and very loving person to care for her.

     My success story is about a white Maine Coon Cat named Rosebud. She was found on the streets. Rosebud was frightened and starving. She was also spayed and microchipped. The microchip led us to discover that she was adopted from the city shelter. When the owner was repeatedly called, the phone would be answered, then the listener, hearing that it was about a found white cat, would hang up. This happened several times. Emails to my phone and email address were received, but not responded to. It seemed pretty clear that Rosebud was no longer wanted. Once she was posted on Rescue Me, the responses poured in. Many wonderful people offered to adopt her, to foster home her, etc. Yesterday, Rosebud's adoption became a reality, but this time it was to a caring, responsible couple whose beloved 17 year old cat had recently passed away. She is already the queen of her beautiful new home. Rosebud went from rags to riches thanks to Rescue Me!

     After the death of my almost 13 year old cat and enough time had past and was ready to adopt a kitten (I feel it's important to rescue) I started my research. I was interested in a Maine Coon or Maine Coon mix kitten and stumbled on your organization.      What a great service! I don't know how you do it but I had so many responses to my posting for our three year old Maine Coon. I was able to communicate and place him quickly despite the fact that he needed to be an only cat and needed special consideration when it came to being placed where there is a dog in the home. We found the perfect spot for him within a week of posting on Rescue Me. True, he is a purebred cat, young and healthy, so I'm sure that makes placement easier but I also had him posted on Craigslist and Adopt-a-pet and received easily six times the responses from Rescue Me than any of the other combined. Thank you for providing an excellent service!

     Thumper is aptly named. After being caged for months, it took a little time to get her out of the corner where's she stayed only venturing out for a nibble. She has the run of the house now and sleeps in her basket in the middle of the family room. She even visited with the noisy grandchildren and has found Popo's recliner a very safe place to nap. We have to rename her, she hasn't thumped us in a while and sits at attention for brushing and tickles of course it costs a few treats. Its funny Toby was not happy here having to compete for attention with other cats and never made a sound in the seveb months since I rescued him off death row.      We just wrapped up Ceaser's adoption to a great home. I've had many inquiries about him, but I knew that Steve would likely be the person we'd go with. Every single person I had a conversation with was absolutely delightful. I had not one worry about the quality of life Ceaser would get from anyone who adopted him from this site. The gentleman that he went to was very knowledgeable about the breed and knew what he was looking for. Very, very pleased.      We had great success with Rescue Me. Within a few days, we had multiple folks interested in adopting Snickers and Doodles. I could not believe the calls, texts, and emails, some from great distances. I know I will miss them, and the adjustment will be difficult. My allergies and migraine's will diminish, so I guess it's worth it, but we have never had an empty house. It will be an adjustment. I am very happy that they are going to a home with a cat enthusiast; I wouldn't have it any other way.

     We've had to say goodbye to our little girl, Rainy. I got an email and a call this morning from our Rescue Me post. There is a woman who runs a Bed and Breakfast who would dearly love to have Rainy. She already has an eight year old male Maine Coon named Elroy. That is quite a trek (four hour drive each way) for someone to come adopt a kitty, so I am sure it will be a good home for her. It is very sad to see our little girl go. We will miss her and her antics. I know she will have a very good life the rest of her life with the run of a place like that with her new friend Elroy. It's the best we can do for her now. Thank you so much for this site as a resource. I also placed our other Maine Coon, Oliver, with the help of this site last week with a young family. They fell for him instantly when they met him here. I'm certain he will do well in his new home with them.

     It was very easy to use Rescue Me. Ralphie is adapting slowly to his new home. He is still very timid, nervous, and shy at this point. He has never lived with other cats before, but my orange tabby is a nervous fellow in the first place they are staying at opposite ends of my home for now. It's all very normal the way they are going about it. I will update in a month when we've all had a chance to get to know each other better.      I recently took in another Maine Coon. The family could no longer keep her due to extensive traveling several months out of the year. I tried for several months to help her incorporate into my cat family of five, but she was from a hoarding situation. She was so so scared of other cats that it just wasn't working. She was getting very stressed, as were my other cats. I had to keep her separated, which is not a good thing for Maine Coons. They like constant company. I was hoping she'd be a buddy for my current Maine Coon, but nope. She wanted nothing to do with any of my other cats. So, I posted on Rescue Me, and received several inquiries. We found the perfect home for her. A gal who is retired military adopted her and has cat toys all over her house. Tiny was immediately relaxed and is being spoiled rotten. I'm very thankful for this site!

     I rescued this wonderful Maine Coon baby from a guy named Robert. Robert had Diamond for over one year, he rescued her from this same website. When Robert rescued her, she was nine years old. I wanted an older cat, thinking they are harder to place and would need my help. She quite gentle but very vocal, especially at dinner time. She likes to hiss and bat me with her paw when she first wakes up. We just recently got back from the vet and she seems quite healthy. She had a flee problem and needs her teeth cleaned. But everything else is great. Any further information would be appreciated. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     I cannot believe the number of responses I got from posting my kitty. My son is very allergic and I had been trying to find my cat a home for over a year by word of mouth. People from all over my state reached out to me and we couldn't have found a better match without Rescue Me. I am so thankful for everyone who makes this site possible. You are saving animals all over the world.

     Rescue Me helped me re-home my mother's cat in just a couple of days. Ironically, the adopter lived only a couple of blocks away. My mom passed away suddenly in November and my step dad was not really able to take care of the big boy, and he was moving into assisted living. I feel really good about this adoption and I will recommend this site to anyone. I had many inquiries from people who sounded really great. Ya gotta love cat people!

     Just a few days after posting Sebastian, a couple who had just lost their older Maine Coon, contacted us. Sebastian went to go live with them that night! A heated tack room and heated cat bed, access to the outside any time he wants, run of the barn, and access to a warm bed in the house when it's really cold out! So thankful for Rescue Me! We were fostering him and he was not working out in our home. We planned to take him to the SPCA that day after trying him in our home for three months. He loves his new home!

     Thanks to Rescue Me, I got many responses for 'Masterpiece', the Maine Coon. All were not in my state, but far away. Still, I viewed them carefully, to find a perfect home for her, and I did! She went to her forever home to a great retired family. I drove eight hours together there and back. It was well worth it and I get updates and can visit her.

     Lizzie was somebody's kitten! That person got three more kittens and when Lizzie was not pleased, she was put outside! Poor Lizzie lived in love inside with her family for eight months to suddenly be discarded. A kind neighbor saw this act and took her into the safety of their garage until we had room for her at the rescue. Lizzie has found her new home and is now the light in someone's life as she should be! Thank you, Rescue Me, for this outlet of networking. Without your website, I would have less success. We have found homes for six kitties and three dogs with your help!

     I tried frantically for two weeks to find a home for Kaylee. When her veterinarian's office suggested that I post her picture on Rescue Me, I never expected the response that I got. My phone started ringing off the hook! A wonderful family drove 10 hours to adopt her. I had a lot of local calls too, but I promised the Draughn family that I would hold her for them. Thank you for a very happy ending.

     We rescued Midnight several months ago, and he was a perfect gentleman. We have two elderly female cats inside and an outside male, who lives in our connected workshop. He goes in and out, so he is never left out in bad weather. Midnight was adopted by a very nice gentleman who is single through Rescue Me. Midnight immediately snuggled up to him.      I had a Maine Coon named Gertie that passed away. I recently decided I would like another. I was looking all over the internet and almost gave up. I decided that I would look to see if there were any websites through Facebook and discovered Rescue Me. I went to the website and saw Kaylee. She was going to be euthanized if someone didn't take her. I looked at the clock and it was after 11:00 pm. I decided I had to take the chance and call. I didn't reach anyone so I tried again the next morning and received a call back from Alexis. After work and a few phone calls back and forth, my husband, daughter and I drove to pick Kaylee up. It was a 10 hour drive one way, but she is so worth it. Now she sleeps in my bed and follows me all over the house. I love her as much as she loves me. I would recommend Rescue Me to all my friends. I also want to thank Alexis for trusting me to give her a loving home. We still keep in touch. Kaylee has become a celebrity on all of my family's Facebook pages. She's a sweetie.      We drove to pick up our newly adopted Maine Coon mix, 'Earl Grey', and we were not disappointed! He is just as sweet as we had been told, and best of all, he didn't caterwaul on the trip home. In all my years of cat ownership, he is the first cat I have had that didn't hate riding in a car! He and 'Greyson', our other MC mix adopted through Rescue Me last year, are off to a good start. They are both three years old and look as if they could have been litter mates. Thank you for your fantastic referral service.

     We adopted this beautiful girl just yesterday. My daughters named her Luna. She was obviously well cared for by her foster family. We have a dog that loves cats, but I think the dog is taken aback by Luna's size. Luna is persisting in making friends with the dog with a head-butt every now and then. I am so happy to have found Luna on Rescue Me. It was easy to contact the fosters, and to arrange a time to meet with them.

     We were so scared we wouldn't find a home for Mr. Darcy - a nine-year-old Maine Coon. I emailed several local rescue agencies who were pretty discouraging about older cats. I found Rescue Me and was quite hopeful. After I posted him on Rescue Me, I had several responses! One immediately stuck out to us and now Mr. Darcy has a new caring owner who has owned an older Maine Coon before, and is aware of their special needs and personality. I'm very glad this network exists.

     Within two days of posting Zack and Maggie on Rescue Me, I had a number of calls. The first couple took them home, but the wife had and allergic reaction and brought them back. The second couple and their daughter took them. They sent me a couple of pictures of Zack and Maggie; clearly they both were very happy and relaxed. I had two other serious inquiries after that about them. Until your organization, I had no success with networking, shelters, fliers etc. Thanks so much.      I adopted young Zuli, a one and a half year old Maine Coon girl, who had been rescued by the wonderful Kim from a kitty mill. By a year old, she had birthed a litter, had a damaged tooth with infected gums, and no vaccinations. Kim had adopted her half sister and saw the pitiful conditions of these breeders. She could not leave this innocent girl there, and took Zuli home with her and nursed her back to health. I saw her posting on Rescue Me (luckily before her photo had loaded) and called right away. My friend and I then drove the hour and adopted her. She is the most adorable little Gray, Maine coon girl with a very distinctive face. I am completely smitten with this new kitten. She is the best cat traveler, I have ever known. I had had two other Maine Coons in my life, one who found me as a kitten on the streets and followed me home, and later one other big boy who had passed away of natural causes over a year ago. Zuli is the answer to my prayers for my new feline best friend. She is adorable and wonderful. I anticipate many years of joy with this darling and very special girl. Thank you Kim for being our godmother and thank you Rescue Me for connecting me with the special cat of my dreams.

     Thank you, Rescue Me. Logan, his brother Angelo and mom Marisol were dumped in a back yard. The two kittens were very young and Logan's brother had a broken jaw and is also deaf. When they were all ready, all three were put up for adoption. Angelo was the first to be adopted and is living with an amazing family. Today, Logan was adopted by the same family that rescued him. Mama Marisol is still looking for her forever home!

     My son is terribly allergic to cats and has severe eczema with secondary infections. No medications/specialists have been able to help. We had to re-home our loved kitties, and one day after posting one of our Maine Coon's, Van Gogh, I received an email from the kindest couple who had recently lost their Maine Coon and wanted to adopt. Today, Van Gogh went to live with a caring couple, and I know he will be well-loved. Thank you to Rescue Me!!!

     I've been waiting for the 'right' cat to find me for a few years now, since my beloved Paws died at around age 22. Mostly I wondered if it would be fair to adopt, since I might only live another year - or another 30. Who knows? But since I moved in with my son and family (three kids, three dogs, two rats, fish and frog) it seemed 'right' and by golly, there was the 'right' cat just waiting for me at Rescue Me! From the minute she arrived, it was as if she'd always been a part of our family. She very quickly let the big goofy Lab/Shep know who was boss. The bulldog hasn't noticed her yet - he's more interested in her food. Our 18 year old Lhasa wouldn't notice an elephant in the house. She sleeps at my feet as all my cats have done - but next to them, not on them!! YES!!!! She's the perfect cat, at the perfect time... Already spayed thank goodness, and without higher adoption fees some places charge - it's just not affordable for many people. I'm happy to be able to just donate what I can afford to help Jeff just a little bit. Thank you, Jeff, for the wonderful work you're doing!!! I just haven't felt 'whole' without a cat these last few years. The boys adore her, and my three year old granddaughter is totally fascinated with her ears and soft fur! My daughter in law adores her, although with three kids, she's too worn out to spend much time with her, and my son is all excited and can't wait to meet her. Our critters are totally pampered and loved!

     We are delighted with our Rescue Me Maine Coon adoption. We had a place in our hearts and our home for a young adult cat. We explored many avenues before finding Rescue Me. The process went so smoothly; it was unbelievable. Gracie Girl has a forever home with us, and her previous owner will be able to relocate out of state with reduced stress and worries. One tip I would give folks is to inquire about several cats, as folks do not always send a reply.
